You know how they say that “less is more”? Well, we don’t necessarily agree with that. Or what do you think of a golf tournament with over 250,000 participants and more than 100 winners?
For the second consecutive year, Golf GameBook organised the biggest (and most fun) golf tournament in Finland. Starting in the beginning of June and continuing until early October, Every Day Challenge expands over the entire Finnish golf season. And more importantly, anyone can participate. Golfers take part into the tournament simply by playing golf and using GameBook to keep score.
All rounds resulting in at least 30 Stableford points are entered into a prize draw and over 100 lucky winners are drawn over the Summer. About 60 of them have been awarded entry to EDC Invitationals, exciting golf events played at some of the finest golf courses in the country. And the rest are rewarded with goods varying from iPad Airs to golf travel vouchers provided by Every Day Challenge partners Mercedes-Benz, Sonera, Ilta-Sanomat, Golfresepti Travel and Posti as well as EDC Invitational host courses Vuosaari Golf, Pickala Golf and Linna Golf.
So no, less for sure isn’t always more. But you know there is another well-known saying that we can agree with; “a picture is worth a thousand words”. Here are some fun moments from the two EDC Invitationals that have already been played at Vuosaari Golf and Pickala Golf.
Each winner earning a spot to one of the EDC Invitationals has been allowed to invite a friend as his/her teammate for the 2-man scramble used as the game format. The days have been all about creating a spectacular experience for everyone involved and it hasn’t been surprising to see very broad smiles on everyone’s faces.
“It has been a lot of fun letting golfers know that they have won a spot at one of the EDC Invitationals”, says Päivi Itkonen, Customer Support Manager at Golf GameBook and the host of EDC Invitational events. “Usually the first reaction has been disbelief and people have been saying they have never won anything like this before. When they arrive to the event with their teammate the excitement is tangible and contagious.”
The last EDC Invitational, with 40 new enthusiastic participants will be played at Linna Golf on September 8, 2015. The Every Day Challenge season goes on until October 4, 2015.
