Head of Content

At Golf GameBook, we believe that every round of golf is an opportunity for a story. We are now in search of a Head of Content with the words for storytelling and an eye for design. Creativity is your passion but you’re also a person who can take those ideas and transform them into fascinating stories, unique copy and engaging content across all Golf GameBook touchpoints. All of this with a consistent tone of voice and brimming brand personality.

The Job

This is what you would be doing:

– Managing and creating content across all Golf GameBook touchpoints (owned, bought and earned).

– Creating stories. Whether it’s a newsletter, push notification, new application feature release, CRM content or a blog post, you will be creating content that enhances the user experience and tastes and feels like our brand.

– Being an internal “brand champion” when it comes to tone of voice and brand identity.

– Content management. Coordinating what goes out/when as well as what kind of content is most relevant across our respective touchpoints.

– Content strategy. Whether it’s about larger content related initiatives like a launch campaign (we like to call this stock content) or more reactive content (flow), you will play an important role in defining the building blocks for these initiatives.

– Ability to grow a larger team around you as we continue to expand.

From a skillset perspective, we’re looking at a person who is comfortable with both words and visuals as well as has an understanding of how content travels across digital channels. You will be working together with our world class product, marketing and sales experts.

Requirements

Your background is not as important as your willingness to learn, grow and throw yourself out of your comfort zone. The right attitude, along with great teamwork skills and a sense of humble confidence will enable you to excel within the team. Ideally, you have worked at least 8 years in a similar position. At the moment, we do not have a specific content team, but hopefully this is something you can build around your skills and personality. Golf background is not a must, but you should have a strong interest in learning about the game and its industry (We’ll convert you into a golfer once you’ve joined the team).

These are the things that we are looking for:

– Proven ability to create engaging content across multiple touchpoints

– Strong Copywriting/storytelling skills

– An eye for visual design

– Creative concept ideation

– Ability to create strategies & roadmaps and as well as implement them hands-on

– Fluent in Swedish, English and Finnish both written and verbal (you can pick 2 out of the 3 languages)

– College / University degree in business administration / marketing & communication

Considered as an advantage

– As we are a service by golfers for golfers, passion for the game of golf is a huge plus

– Experience with mobile apps and startups

– Experience with performance media tools

– Adobe software know-how (Photoshop, Premiere, After effects etc.)

– Website creation know-how (ex. WordPress, Wix)

– Experience with newsletter and other CRM tools

– Experience in photography and/or videos
