Senior React Developer

We are a growing golf application company looking for great new talents to join the team. Now we wish to strengthen our Web frontend mastery, and hence we are looking for a Senior React Developer to join the team.

Golf GameBook is a tech company, headquartered in Espoo, Finland. Our purpose is to digitalise golf experience and make it more fun with our world-class Mobile (B2C) and Web (B2B) products. With more than 1M registered Mobile app users and over 25 million rounds of golf recorded so far, Golf GameBook is one of the fastest growing golf communities in the world and a leading social golf app. The idea started as a digital scorecard, but the products have grown to be much more. Nowadays also group games, social aspects and comprehensive event management are covered. What are we looking for?

We’re looking for an experienced professional who has a profound experience in frontend technologies and development projects. You should possess adequate skills, solid knowledge, and strong vision on leveraging technologies to achieve elegant and sustainable solutions to support the business. The technical mastery together with right attitude, along with great teamwork and mentoring skills and a sense of humble confidence will enable you to be successful in the challenge.

The skillset we wish to see:

  • Strong hands-on skills on frontend development practices, projects and tools

  • Expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript with React/Redux, tools, and its ecosystem

  • Good experience on interactive user interfaces, REST APIs

Considered as an advantage:

  • PHP / Golang backend experience

  • Experience on AWS or other cloud services, deployment pipelines and DevOps

  • UI design

What will you be doing?

You will bring React/Redux seniority to the Web development team and secure high quality SW delivery for the business by producing high quality code yourself as well as making sure we have the best practices clearly defined and we follow them. In practice, that includes such activities as

  • delivering exemplary lines of code

  • executing code reviews and quality control

  • managing SW packaging and cloud deployments

  • securing product and project security

  • supporting in troubleshooting and problem solving

  • exploring new implementation approaches and mentor product developers

  • participating and improving planning, development and maintenance activities.

We trust and expect that you have the needed seniority for being able to find your place, take and share responsibility, within the whole SW delivery flow. And you have the mindset to understand the product, operations and business so that you are able to do value driven decisions.
