The best part of golf is the escape from reality. It allows me to step away from work-related demands and fully focus on something else. Additionally, one can geek out about everything related to golf – from equipment to swing techniques. It’s like a separate world where you can immerse yourself and savor every swing!
My favorite golf memory is from an internal competition at my previous workplace. It was a local tournament where everyone, from beginners to low-handicap players, participated. I happened to be in the same group as two colleagues. One of them had been playing golf for 20 years and maintained a handicap between 1 and 3, but he had never achieved a hole-in-one. The other colleague was relatively new to golf, having played for less than a year. We were on the second hole, a relatively short par 3 measuring 125 meters. The beginner stepped up to the tee, swung the club, and the ball moved like a perfectly guided string. It landed about 1 meter from the pin and then bounced straight into the hole. The beginner barely comprehended what had just happened, while the experienced player’s jaw dropped in disbelief, followed by a mix of astonishment and frustration!
No specific person inspired me to become a golfer. Instead, it was a combination of curiosity and the need for a recreational activity that led me to the golf course. I tried golf with a group of friends at the nearest driving range and got hooked instantly. Now, I’m forever immersed in the world of golf!

If I’m not playing golf, I dedicate myself to technology. It’s also my profession as a teacher in Industrial Automation. In my free time, I mostly spend time with my partner and my two young children. It’s incredibly enjoyable to watch them begin to explore their golf swings on the range!
