When asked about the biggest advantages of using Tournament Manager, Hjalmarsson pointed to two major factors: professionalism and ease of use. The branding opportunities the platform offers are particularly appealing to corporate sponsors. The ability to customize each event with brand logos, tailored invites, and a professional leaderboard creates a unique experience for both participants and sponsors. Summary page sent to participants after events adds an extra touch, allowing players to revisit highlights and results, reinforcing a professional, memorable experience.
"It is important that the experience with Tournament Manager is extremely smooth—from the invitation to the event, all the way to the prize ceremony. It allows us to present ourselves in a professional way towards clients and make a positive impression for all participants," Hjalmarsson shares.
Additionally, the cart signs feature has proven invaluable for large events.
“With just a click, we can print name tags for all carts, saving significant time on event day,” Carin shared.
Ease of Use and Efficient Onboarding
The simplicity of Tournament Manager’s interface makes it user-friendly, even for those less familiar with digital tools. Initially, the Hills received some hands-on onboarding from Golf GameBook, which helped them get accustomed to the platform. But as familiarity grew, the need for support diminished. Now, Hills can organize tournaments smoothly with minimal external assistance, thanks to streamlined functions like syncing players' Golf-ID and handicaps.
"The communication has been consistently good, with prompt support whenever we’ve needed it,” Hjalmarsson shared.
Bringing Club Members Together Through Technology
For club members, Tournament Manager has transformed the experience of weekly and member tournaments. Hills’ members appreciate the real-time scoring and leaderboard features. Hjalmarsson noted that also most of their senior members enjoy the Golf GameBook app, proving that it is accessible for players of all ages.
While some members initially hesitate to use mobile phones on the course, Hills has managed to ease this transition. The club provides guidance and sends out detailed event information before the event, encouraging members to download the app and prepare their accounts. As a result, on the event day, members arrive prepared and the experience is much smoother.
